If I didn’t know anything about Thanksgiving and traditions, how would you explain the holiday tradition to me so that I could laugh with you?

Thanksgiving is a holiday celebrated in Autumn where families get together and eat a turkey feast.

If I had never experienced Thanksgiving, how would I know what the menu was normally?

The menu normally is turkey, cranberries, potatoes, vegetables, stuffing, and pumpkin pie with whipped cream.

How would watching this movie explain the beginnings of Thanksgiving?

In the movie the Pioneers and the Aboriginals are trying to hunt a turkey to have a turkey feast at Thanksgiving.

Write a short summary of the plot.

In the movie Free Birds two turkeys travel in a time machine back to the first Thanksgiving in 1621.   They avoid hunters and dogs.  Their goal is to get turkey off of the original Thanksgiving menu.  The turkey's deliver pizza to the Early American settlers.

How does your family celebrate Thanksgiving? If you didn’t have Thanksgiving, would you miss the traditions and try to carry some on in your home?  Please explain.

When we can, our family celebrates Thanksgiving with family- Uncle Tyler and Auntie Chrystal, or Uncle Jonathan and Auntie LaDawn.  My Mom makes a signature roasted turkey and my Dad makes pumpkin pie.  I would like to carry on these traditions in my home too.

The origins of Thanksgiving are different between the United States and Canada, can you research and write a short summary.
Canadian pumpkin pie is spicy, with ginger and cinnamon while American pumpkin pie is typically sweet and has custard in it.
Canadians use bread crumbs or rice for stuffing in the U.S. stuffing is either made with a cornbread base, oysters and rice like Canadians.
In both countries Thanksgiving is a time to get together with family. In the U.S. the Thanksgiving holiday weekend is the busiest travel day of the year. Some Canadians use the 3-day holiday for a weekend getaway.
