I spotted a blue heron while waiting for my breakfast at Buena Vida Restaurant. I asked my Mom to take a picture of Mr. Blue...we had quite an adventure ahead - little did we know the events that would unfold.
I named the heron Mr. Blue for this edition of Spot(dot)It.
...can you spot him? He's got great camaoflage...
Again...Mr. Blue is hiding, but he's a bit easier to spot because the rock isn't behind him...
Mr. Blue started walking very slowly along the shore
...I wondered if he was going to catch his breakfast?
We kept watching Mr. Blue...
Mr. Blue reached his long neck forward really quickly
...and snatched up a long eel.
Here Mr. Blue is flinging the eel to shore with his beak...
Look carefully - it's hard to spot him on this one!
He repeatedly snapped at the eel far from the water's edge
...it was quite a dance.
We followed Mr. Blue as he walked down the shore trying to get a good hold on his breakfast eel so he could fly away...
Doesn't quite have it yet...
Flying away to eat his breakfast...
Yum...I've got my breakfast too!
Additional post title help from Exotic Chicken while eating our own real deal egg meal...(thankfully eel wasn't our only option this morning).
